This blog derives from my experience of using reading for wellbeing. In childhood I experienced trauma, but I was only diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (alongside various anxiety disorders) at the age of eighteen. I finally gained the help I needed, and EMDR therapy allowed me to deal rationally with my past for the first time.
My situation has since changed dramatically: I’m finding it so much easier to concentrate on work, to understand my emotions, opinions and thoughts, and to be rational about worries. Past memories are no longer bothering me with so much force, and I feel free to enjoy my degree and the life I’m currently living.
